The Maine Real Estate Network’s New Website is Live!

The Maine Real Estate Network is an expansive team of more than 525 real estate agents across 21 statewide offices. As Maine’s largest independent real estate agency, having a strong online presence is vital to The Maine Real Estate Network’s ability to scale successfully. When looking to refresh their website, they needed something that could compete with other high-end brokerage websites and National portals such as Zillow and Trulia.

Having had a strong partnership for the past three years, we had already been able to help The Maine Real Estate Network grow their business through digital. That’s why Loni Graiver – the company’s founder and owner – knew we could help him achieve his goal of building a new website that catered to his diverse audience of local buyers, sellers and agents. By combining a powerful content strategy with new functionality and visual allure, we were able to build The Maine Real Estate Network an innovative new website that will continue to help them stand out.

A holistic local content strategy.

Given The Maine Real Estate Network’s history – they were built on a foundation of incomparable knowledge and customer service – the team wanted a way to not only attract the right audience via search engines, but to compete with giants like Zillow and Trulia.

Developing an unparalleled local experience meant starting with local buyer and seller tools. The Maine Real Estate Network now offers buyers and sellers the ability to research neighborhood information and access market reports directly through the website. Our recent partnership with Onboard Informatics allowed The Maine Real Estate Network to add local market data to their new website in two ways:

  1. Top-level neighborhood statistics on listing detail view pages
  2. In-depth, hyper local market reports that site visitors can access for any town in Maine

With market data integrated directly into their website, The Maine Real Estate Network has further solidified their local expertise and authority in search engines.

A tailored user-experience.

One of the most important elements of a successful website is its ability to provide a friendly user-experience. According to Hosting Facts, 75% of U.S. internet users are accessing the internet via mobile. With buyers and sellers spending more time on mobile than ever before, they expect to be able to access information wherever and whenever they choose – in a format that is equivalent to desktop quality.

The responsive design of The Maine Real Estate Network’s new website ensures that users can seamlessly access the same search functionality, listings, agent information and market data across all devices. By adapting their content to the type of device being used, they provide optimal performance and accessibility to homebuyers and sellers – leading to great engagement and increased preference in search engines.

A superior look and feel.

The Maine Real Estate Network wanted to design a website that represented Maine itself. Loni wanted the overall site to welcome visitors, providing easy to use tools while showcasing TMREN’s full service offerings and oozing local flavor. For these reasons, some important design elements were incorporated:

  • The Video Slideshow: When a user lands on the website, the first thing they experience is a video slideshow. The HD image quality immediately initiates a high-end feeling, enhancing the visitor’s experience and connection to Maine. Since Maine is not universally a luxury market, the site had to be welcoming to all visitors. The videos that were selected for the slideshow encompass Maine as a whole, making them relevant to any visitor.
  • Interactive Content: Aside from the stylistic aspects of the site, a diverse mix of interactive content was incorporated to drive engagement and increase conversions. From visual calls-to-action to hover effects on images, it was important that the user not only engaged with the site, but that the site interacted with the user in return.

A website that has it all.

The Maine Real Estate Network’s new website is one that we are extremely proud to share, as both teams have worked very hard on the project. Having always been a valuable partner to us, we are excited to see how this launch helps The Maine Real Estate Network build on their current success.

  1. Makes me want to go to Maine if not buy a house there! Very cool the way some of the rotating home page photos are videos. Cool how there is a pop up help box right on the home page. IMPRESSIVE!
